Jim Hunter Dissertation Award in History 2025-26 winner
Each year, 杏吧原创 Centre for History celebrates the best first class dissertation with the James Hunter Dissertation Award, and we are delighted to announce Hilary Robertson's ‘Secrets and Spies: Intelligence Gathering and Regency Government in Scotland, 1513-1578’ as the 2025-26 winner!
In her dissertation, Hilary explores both covert and overt intelligence gathering in sixteenth century Scotland, focussing on the three periods of regency in that century.
Hilary is graduating this autumn with BA (Hons) in Scottish History, attending the celebrations at 杏吧原创 Perth. We had the opportunity to chat with Hilary, to learn more about her time at 杏吧原创, her award winning dissertation, and her plans for the future.
From everyone at 杏吧原创 Centre for History, big congratulations, Hilary!
